Sorcery and black magic does not exist in this island
April 22, 2012 - Another adventure awaits!
We were left by the 9 am boat trip so we had to take the 10:15 trip. We were behind our scheduled time. We were also scared seeing how the waves cradled the boat we were going to ride. But thank you for the good weather that day, we were not able to experience the dreaded wavy boat ride! Haha
Many here says link Siquijor to be a place of Black magic but our stay there proved us other wise. The people were very friendly and they were extremely silent! Yes, the whole island was so quiet but its serene beauty captivated us.
Anyways, we toured the island for within 3 hours.
Let me virtually tour you around then :)
| The white sand beach welcomed us. Hello Siquijor! |
| First Stop: This is the St Francis of Assisi Church. It was located near the pier so it was the first area we visited. We also took our lunch in Sr. Pedro, located beside the church |
| Second Stop: Capilay Spring Park! It's like a spring inside a public park. And the best part? It's for free. |
| Third Stop: 400 year old Balete Tree. I know what you're thinking but it's not creepy. |
| Fourth Stop: Crocodile View. Wondering why they call it that? It's because the island behind me seems to be a head of a crocodile. Visual Illusion, agree or disagree? |
| Fifth Stop: Lazi Convent - it is said to be the oldest and still functioning convent in the whole Philippines! |
| This is the church located in front of the convent. |
| Kids are enjoying acting as Tarzan as they hang themselves in that improvised rope. |
| Nature's Beauty. |
| Sixth Stop: Canbugahay Falls - Epic! You have to take 135 steps going down to see this view. If weren't to exhausted we would have dipped in its cold waters1 |
Last Stop: Salagdoong Beach. It is said to be the most beautiful beach in the whole island.
And that's the end of the coastal tour in Siquijor! We returned to our resort afterwards :)
| The resort's beach! However, I decided not to dip :) |
| Dinner! I have to admit the dinner was a bit pricey but it was totally worth it.You have to order an hour before because it's how long they have to prepare the food. Monetary and timewise, its still worth it! |
| Isn't it lovely? Oh summer <3 |
| With April: How old is she? I'll give you a price if you'll get her age right! |
| Mec and Dai + the uninvited "smiler" behind us. Hahaha |
