Yangmingshan National Park

Another popular out of town destination in Taiwan is the Yangmingshan National Park.

I didn't quite get it upon reading the blogs since there were a lot of "places to go to" but then I realized that sll those places were part of the National Park. Haha

Anyways, from where we are (Ximending), we rode the train going to Shilin Station and from there just walked to the left to ride a bus going to Yangmingshan.

The journey took around 30 minutes and if you're not lucky to get a seat, you'll need to stand all through the journey. Drop off point was at the Bus Terminal of Yangmingshan National Park.

Based on the blogs, we were told to ride Bus 108. But what we didn't know is that there are two types of Bus 108 - The Red Bus 108 and The Green Bus 108.

If you don't want to commit the same mistake we did, better ride the Bus 108 with the red font. We rode Bus 108 with the green font and it led us to Erziping. In Erziping, you can walk 1.8 kilometers and see this:

Yes, I know. You don't have to tell me. Watch my face:

Sorry to say but I didn't feel like my walk was worth it. Anyways, we spent almost two hours in the area before we were able to ride a bus going back to the bus terminal. We decided to drop by their Information Center (this is very helpful so I suggest you drop by here before going anywhere in the park) and we were informed that the ride bus to ride is Bus 108 with the red font.

After having our lunch, we finally rode the right bus. Haha And our first stop is the Sulfur Mountain:

Then we rode another bus and went to Qingtiangang Grassland Trails. This is the Batanes-like attraction. Haha But for someone who have been to Batanes, you'll really know the difference.*wink*

There are other places that we could have visited if only we have more time. But going around Yangmingshan National Park is not that complicated. Just take Bus 108 (in red font) and it will shuttle you through all the major attractions. Oh, and it will cost you 15ntd per transfer :)
